Work to begin Tuesday, May 21, as part of $1.7 million in micro-surfacing projects planned for 2013
Drivers are being urged to avoid or plan for delays at several major Lubbock thoroughfares, including Slide Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, as the city begins a nearly monthlong micro-surfacing project this week.
Beginning Tuesday, May 21, Intermountain Slurry Seal — under contract with the city of Lubbock — will begin applying a two-course seal coat on major thoroughfares across Lubbock, city spokesman Jeff McKito said.
The projects are part of $1.7 million in micro-surfacing work on city streets planned as part of the 2013 city budget.
