Red Raiders, Wildcats to play in 2019, 2020
Texas Tech and Arizona on Tuesday jointly announced a two-game non-conference football series.
The two teams will play on Sept. 14, 2019, at Arizona and on Sept. 19, 2020, in Lubbock.
When the two teams play, it will mark the resumption of a series dormant for nearly 30 years. In the last meeting between the two, Tech beat Arizona in a 1989 season opener — the first of the Red Raiders’ four victories against Top 20 opponents that year.
Tech and Arizona were Border Conference rivals from 1932-56 and played several non-conference games in subsequent decades.
