The Lubbock Area United Way has exceeded its 2011 campaign fundraising goal, the nonprofit organization announced at a luncheon Tuesday.
Since Aug. 25, campaign chairman Kevin McMahon has spearheaded the organization’s effort in raising $5,450,175, exceeding the campaign goal of $5,435,903.
Eighty-six percent of funds raised will benefit Lubbock Area United Way’s 23 partner agencies, said Amy Berry, vice president of resource development.
