Brewer outperforms Webb in spring game, but competition will extend to the fall
It appears Texas Tech’s quarterback competition, as expected, will extend into the fall.
Michael Brewer completed 26 of 43 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns and Davis Webb connected on 17 of 30 attempts for 224 yards with one touchdown and one interception in Saturday’s spring game, and Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury said the battle between the two is “close” at the conclusion of spring workouts.
“It’s good competition and I think that’s good for everybody,” Kingsbury said. “We’ll go through the summer, go into fall camp and get a starter named.”
