Texas Tech Club Sports
Texas Tech hosts 24 club
sports teams that travel regionally to represent
the university. Their activities range from highly
competetive to recreational and instructional.
Tech has a strong tradition of successful club
sports programs. The men's
Lacrosse team won their sixth Southwest Lacrosse
Association championship title in 1992.
The men's soccer club was runner-up for the national
club title three times. Tech's
swim club team competed against Division ll and
lll schools, where 10 team members qualified to
advance to the national meet and seven of those
who competed brought back medals.

this club races in the South Central
Collegiate Cycling Conference.

As a member of the Southern Division
of the Texas Collegiate Soccer League,
the Tech men's soccer team plays against
teams from the University of Texas,
Baylor and Abilene Christian University.

Conference, the team has competed
against numerous Southwestern schools
including the University of Texas,
Trinity, Southern Methodist andTexas

of Texas, University of Houston, Rice,
and Texas A&M. |

League and American Collegiate Hockey
Association, the Texas Tech Hockey Ice
Hockey club plays 18 games a year and is
involved in playoffs. The team competes
against numerous Southwestern schools

Championship tournament.

of the Collegiate Men's Division of
the Texas Rugby Football Union, the
club plays numerous teams within the
