Natalie Lemon arrested on warrant for aggravated robbery robbery, possession of a controlled substance

A Lubbock woman was arrested on a warrant for aggravated robbery for allegedly threatening a man with a Taser after meeting him through an ad for an escort. Natalie Lemon, 30, of the 2100 block of 30th Street, was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center at 1:42 a.m. Tuesday, May 14. She was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. According to the warrant for Lemon’s arrest, she held a Taser on the man, who had contacted her after seeing an advertisement online.

Pair indicted in prostitution, robbery scheme 05/16/13 - 12:16am

Two people were indicted this week on aggravated robbery charges for their part in a scheme to rob men who were soliciting women from online escorts, according to Lubbock police reports. Christopher Sharp, 24, and Toni Rodriguez, 21, were indicted on aggravated robbery charges, which followed their arrests last month after a victim came forward and said he was robbed by two men after he agreed to meet a woman he knew as “Erica Garcia” at the Omni Apartments.

LPD searching for forgery suspect 05/10/13 - 12:22am

Lubbock police are searching for a forgery suspect from an incident that happened Jan. 15 at the Wells Fargo Bank in the 2600 block of Parkway Drive. Police say the suspect cashed a check on a closed account and then came back the next day and tried to do the same. A bank employee remembered the woman and questioned her about the previous check. The suspect said the person who wrote the check was in the bank parking lot. The employee and the suspect walked outside and police say the suspect fled on foot.

Shots fired at Depot District club Lubbock police are searching for a suspect in connection with a Depot District club shooting early Wednesday morning, May 8. LPD spokesman Sgt. Jason Lewis said an unknown suspect fired “a couple of shots” in the direction of Cactus Courtyard, located at 1801 Buddy Holly Ave., around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday while officers were on the scene handling a loud-music call.

Lubbock police arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a shooting that left two people wounded during the weekend at a Central Lubbock nightclub. On Tuesday, May 7, Dajmyn Poindexter was charged with felony counts of aggravated assault after the shooting about 2:28 a.m. Sunday, May 5, outside the Royal Palace, 3511 Ave. Q, police Sgt. Jason Lewis said in a statement. According to police reports, a fight started inside the club and moved out into the parking lot, where someone opened fire on the gathered crowd.

The shooting took place at about 2:28 a.m. Sunday outside the Royal Palace, 3511 Ave. Q. According to police reports, a fight started inside the club and moved out into the parking lot, where someone opened fire on the gathered crowd.

Homeowner shoots man during break-in A Lubbock resident foiled a pre-dawn home invasion Monday, May 6, by shooting his attacker after the man forced his way through the house’s front door. Few details were available from Lubbock police about the incident, which occurred at a home in the 7400 block of King Avenue at about 4:18 a.m. According to a department news release, the homeowner ordered the intruder out of the house several times. When the intruder didn’t leave, the homeowner shot him. The suspect was taken the University Medical Center.

Feds arrest pair on marijuana charge after airplane crashes at Plains 05/03/13 - 12:33am

Federal agents arrested two people on marijuana trafficking charges in Plains on Tuesday, April 30, after the airplane they were in crashed on takeoff from Yoakum County Airport. Yoakum County sheriff’s deputies found four canvas bags, which held a combined 160 pounds of marijuana, about 100 yards from where the airplane skidded to a stop, according to a federal Drug Enforcement Administration special agent’s affidavit.

Department of Public Safety troopers arrested Scott Folkerts, 29, on Monday, April 29, on a manslaughter warrant, which was filed by investigators with the Lubbock Police Department. Folkerts is being held at the Lubbock County Jail on a $80,000 bond, according to its website. In a news release, LPD Sgt. Robert Hook said Folkerts was the driver involved in a fatal traffic crash on April 20, in the 5100 block of 82nd Street. Folkerts was the driver of a 2003 Honda S2000 at the time of the accident.

Two of Texas 10 Most Wanted arrested The Texas Department of Public Safety announced this week that two Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives were captured. A tip led authorities to violent offender Gwen Komahcheet, 68, who was detained by Mexican authorities in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, on Thursday, April 19. On Friday, April 20, he was turned over to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Eagle Pass, Texas, and then formally arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
