Texas has what it takes to be a national leader in solar power. But so far it hasn’t capitalized on its natural advantages. As a result, other states are luring new job-creating solar manufacturers away. “Companies want to locate here and, with modest investments, we can land them,” points out Luke Metzger, director of Environment Texas.

I guess solar power

PACs don't donate to the campaign coffers of Texas pols at the same level as oil and natural gas PACs.

Want to play in Texas, you got to pay Texas pols.

Yep, I would say that Texas

is located so that we should be first in solar AND wind, but I see the solar farm in Marfa has been put on hold, and I haven't seen any wind activity around Lubbock lately. What's our problem?
