LISD meeting will not discuss dress code
The Lubbock Independent School District board will have a meeting and workshop Thursday morning, but they will not be discussing the school dress code, said board president James Arnold.
The matter of proposed changes that could restrict Mohawk and faux hawk hair styles and extreme colors added to hair is likely to be addressed in May.
Arnold said his goal is to complete it before the end of the school year so students will leave for the summer knowing what the dress code will be next year.
The meeting will begin at 7 a.m. Thursday in the board room of the LISD Administration Building at 1628 19th St.
