Robbery Blotter, Dec. 13-19, 2010
Lubbock Police had record of eight robbery reports in the city last week.
■ Dec. 12 (reported on Dec. 13). 1100 Slide Road. 3 a.m. A suspect grabbed a wallet out of a 19-year-old man’s back pocket and passed it to another person. The victim attempted to get his wallet back, but the suspect punched him in the mouth and fled with the wallet, which contained $9.
■ Dec. 14. 2802 Juniper Ave. 9:39 a.m. A suspect entered a 52-year-old woman’s residence and assaulted her.
■ Dec. 14. 1103 58th St. 2:04 p.m. A 39-year-old woman told police four people robbed her and assaulted her. The robbers fled with $5,000 in cash.
■ Dec. 15. 6002 Slide Road. Between 5:45 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. A suspect stole several leather jackets and assaulted a 22-year-old man. Police arrested Eddie Lee Hall, 51, on robbery charges. Hall also had an unrelated felony warrant. The victim refused EMS.
■ Dec. 17. 1301 24th St. 4:40 p.m. A 26-year-old woman told police someone slammed her head against the wall and then stole her phone, which was a pink slide touch-screen phone valued at $500.
■ Dec. 19. 2000 16th St. 2:32 a.m. A 27-year-old man told police a suspect assaulted him with a gun and then stole his wallet and phone.
■ Dec. 19. 2608 Ave. Q. 4:40 a.m. A 22-year-old woman was shot in the leg during a robbery attempt. The suspect tried to steal the victim’s money from her.
■ Dec. 19. 1714 13th St. Between 12:30 p.m. and 1:10 p.m. A 24-year-old man told police a burglary suspect tried to run him over with a car after he confronted the suspect leaving a neighbor’s house with stolen property. The suspect ended up crashing into the victim’s car and then running westbound on foot. The victim was not injured.
