Texas Tech picked up an oral commitment Friday from Rowlett running back Jalen Rhodes, who rushed for 22 touchdowns and nearly 1,500 yards last year as a junior.
“I feel great,” Rhodes told ESPN.com. “I can’t wait to put on the red and black.”
ESPN.com lists Rhodes as 5-foot-8 and 179 pounds. He is Tech’s eighth pledge for the class of 2013.
Last season, Rhodes carried 229 times for 1,491 yards and 22 TDs. He caught 19 passes for 149 yards and two scores.
Oral commitments are non-binding. The national signing period begins in February.

Tubby will use him for those 4th & goal situations.
He'll fit right in & probably be a starter right off the bat.
Good Luck
I see the one Hancer that hates Gillespie is still providing his meaningless insight complete with weak, boring insults devoid of anything resembling fact or substance. Hang in there Bill.
