Texas Tech offensive lineman Le’Raven Clark on Friday was named to the Scout.com Freshman All-America second team.

Clark, a 6-foot-5, 303-pound guard who also played tackle at times this season, is the first lineman to earn freshman all-America honors in Tech history.

The Rockdale native started all 12 games at right guard this season.

Tech’s 1,674 rushing yards this season were the team’s most since tallying 2,219 yards in 1998.
