Coach Kliff Kingsbury's first recruiting class took shape on National Signing Day. As of late this morning, Texas Tech had letters of intent from almost everyone on its 2013 football recruiting class with one more letter expected to arrive and conflicting reports about another recruit who was considering Tech.

Tech also picked up three prospects who had not verbally committed earlier:

Offensive linemen Joshua Outlaw and Poet Thomas and linebacker  Jacarthy Mack.

There were conflicting reports that linebacker Edwards Williams had committed, but late reports he was still undecided.

The Red Raiders have received letters of intent from quarterback Davis Webb, who is already enrolled at Tech, running back Tyler Middleton, wide receivers Devin Lauderdale, Gary Moore, Dylan Cantrell, Carlos Thompson, D.J. Polite-Bray, offensive linemen Outlaw, Thomas, Baylen Brown, Aaron Bennett and Cody Hayes.

Defensively the Red Raiders have received letters from defensive end Zach Barnes and Demetrius Alston, linebackers Mack, Malik Jenkins, Kahlee Woods, defensive backs Justis Nelson, Caleb Woodward, Dee Paul, Jalen Barnes, Dorian Crawford, and Martin Hill.

Tech is still expecting a letter to be faxed in from defensive back Maurice Chandler.

Class of 2013

Good Luck to all the new Red Raiders. This completes a great start for the new Coaching staff!

we don't know how great a start it is until they are on the field. Kingsbury has to put a positive spin on it....but Rivals.com rates the recruiting class at about #50 and that ain't so hot....unfortunately. Tuberville's last two classes were top 25 so maybe that will keep us competitive.

Outstanding Job!

Coach Kingsbury looks to have salvaged this recruiting season after Tuberville decided to dump on the Tech football program. Good job and best of luck to our coaches and players ( men who really want to be here). Here's hoping coach Kingsbury will be able to do more with less ( like coach Leach) instead of less with more ( like Tuberville). I think the Raider Nation feels a since of ease with the new staff.
