The play costars Sarah Anderson as Cinderella, Nick Clifton as Prince Charming, and Devon Langford as Fairy Godmother.

The Texas Department of Transportation compiled a list of routes when accessing parking for the fair: ■ Southbound Interstate-27 traffic will need to use the 19th Street exit then take 19th east to Avenue A. ■ Northbound I-27 traffic should be able to use the current Fourth Street exit and travel down the new eastbound frontage road to Avenue A.

Community Medical School to help laymen understand health issues 09/24/11 - 12:19am

Physicians from the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and University Medical Center are teaching Community Medical School this fall. Dissecting today’s most important health issues into layman’s terms through a series of evening lectures, the Community Medical School offers Lubbock residents and their families a chance to stay informed about their health. Classes are scheduled weekly from Tuesday to Nov. 8 and will cover topics from the benefits of electronic medical records to dealing with adult arthritis. The cost of the program is $20 per semester.

Women in Leadership Symposium to address issues in workforce 09/24/11 - 12:18am

The Women in Leadership Symposium will address issues facing women in the workforce and in leadership positions. A panel of executive women will lead the symposium Wednesday at the Merket Alumni Center at Texas Tech. Jobi Martinez, director of the Cross Cultural Academic Advancement Center at Tech and organizer of the panel, said leadership panels tend to focus on a single path or single type of leader. She said there are several paths into leadership positions, and she chose a diverse group of leaders for the panel to show that, and discuss their different experiences.
