Visitors to the Miniaturists of Lubbock Show on Saturday and Sunday at the Municipal Garden and Arts Center, will see idealized kitchens, commercial establishments, individual rooms and entire houses — all on a small scale. The show opens at 10 a.m. Saturday and continues until 5 p.m. For Sunday, the time is noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are $2 for adults, and $1 for children, with proceeds benefiting Toys for Tots and the South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

Annual Jessefest expected to attract crowd Thursday The fourth annual Jesse-fest, inspired by the late Lubbock guitarist Jesse Taylor, is expected to attract its largest attendance to date at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in Peggy’s Garden, adjacent to the Tornado Gallery, 1822 Buddy Holly Ave. Featured entertainers are Mike Pritchard & the Ogallala Blues Band, Lost Weekend and Sons of the Roadside Playboys. Tommy and Charlene Hancock also will make an appearance, but will not perform.

Walk of Fame inductees to be honored on Sept. 27 More inductions into the West Texas Walk of Fame — adjacent to the statue of Buddy Holly, west of the Buddy Holly Center, 1801 Crickets Ave — will take place at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 27. Those being inducted are the late Jesse “Guitar” Taylor, Austin-based music producer Lloyd Maines, and Tommy and Charlene (Condray) Hancock, the godfather of West Texas music and his wife. There is no admission charge.
