Smalls day-to-day with hip injury

Texas Tech junior point guard Monique Smalls suffered a hip pointer injury during Wednesday's game against Texas State.

Smalls practiced with limited mobility Thursday morning and is listed as day-to-day.

The injury occurred early in the second half. Smalls came out 2 1/2 minutes into the half and remained out the rest of the game.

The No. 19 Lady Raiders host No. 16 Penn State at 1 p.m. Saturday.
