Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville said junior linebacker Terrance Bullitt will need shoulder surgery again at some point. Bullitt missed the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game.
The Red Raiders didn’t have him during an eight-play drive on which Texas scored its final touchdown and a nine-play drive on which the Longhorns ran out the clock. They used all rushing plays on the latter.
Bullitt had surgery on his left shoulder during the offseason. In an interview two weeks ago, he said he aggravated it again in games against Northwestern State, Iowa State, Oklahoma and West Virginia.
“He hurts it every game,” Tuberville said Monday. “It goes week to week. He won’t practice and then will play. I think early in the game the other day, he stretched it a little bit, but there’s nothing he can do. As long as he can put up with the soreness, he’ll continue to play.”
