Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville on Monday named safety D.J. Johnson the team's defensive player of the week and inside receiver Tyson Williams and tackle LaAdrian Waddle as offensive players of the week.
Johnson was credited with a game-high 10 tackles.
Tuberville said Williams and Waddle "had the best game that they've had since they've been here."
Both are seniors, though Williams, a transfer from West Texas A&M, is playing his first season for the Red Raiders. He made four catches for 52 yards and a touchdown. It was his first touchdown and his season high yardage total.
The special-teams recognition went to kicker Kramer Fyfe, whose kickoffs went for touchbacks four of six times.
Scout-team players of the week were running back DeAndre Washington and walk-on defensive back John White, a redshirt freshman from Bremond.
