Snyder: Fifteen bowl games, but none compared to last year's preparation

DALLAS -- Bill Snyder has coached in 15 bowl games in his last 18 seasons asKansasStatecoach, but said he’s never had a team prepare better than the Wildcats did before their 31-14 victory againstMichiganto end last season.

“I cannot recall a preparation that was as pleasing to me as the one that took place this past season,” Snyder said Tuesday at Big 12 media days.

The Wildcats beatMichigan31-14 at the Buffalo Wild Wings bowl. K-State quarterback Jake Waters seemed taken aback by Snyder’s praise.

“Coach Snyder doesn’t give out compliments that often, so it means a lot,” Waters said. “When I got out there and saw everythingMichiganshowed, I’d seen on film and I knew what we wanted to get to.

“That three or four weeks, it was crazy how much we prepared and how comfortable we were going into that game and it showed.”
