Operation Sellout

Less than 1,000 tickets remain to Texas Tech men's basketball's Saturday showdown against No. 19 Oklahoma State.

Tech is also declaring the game a black out, as all fans are encouraged to wear black and arrive to United Spirit Arena early.

Tip-off is at 8:30 p.m. and the doors open at 7:30.

The Cowboys enter the matchup coming off three straight losses to Oklahoma (88-76), Baylor (76-70) and Iowa State in triple overtime (98-97).

Marcus Smart leads Oklahoma State with 17.3 points per game, followed by Markel Brown with 17, Le'Bryan Nash with 14.6 and Phil Forte with 12.2.

For the Red Raiders, this will be the first game since their 60-54 win over TCU.

In conference play, senior forward Jaye Crockett leads Texas Tech with 15.4 points per game, followed by sophomore guard Dusty Hannahs with 12.3.

Keep in mind that "attendance" and "tickets sold" are two very different and distinct terms. Makes one wonder how many tickets United, McDougal's, and the A-J purchased to get this "sellout". Attendance will be the deciding factor.
