Was GSA Regional Commissioner Jeff Neely simply imitating the extravagant taxpayer supported lifestyle of President Barack Obama?
True members of the Socialist Elite, like Neely and Obama, have contempt for the people who they are supposed to be serving and who are paying for their luxurious life styles. Jeff Neely had the audacity to have his extravagant meetings recorded and photographed. Like the First Family, Neely apparently invited friends to join him and his wife at government expense.
"We'll get you guys a room near us, and we'll pick up the room tab. ... I know I'm bad, but as Deb and I often say, why not enjoy it while we have it and while we can. Ain't gonna last forever."
Like a true Marxist, Obama lives a lifestyle of opulent excess that appears to overshadow the extravagance of any previous President. He is eating and serving Wagyu Beef at $100 per pound. Obama and his family have taken seventeen opulent and very expensive vacations and more are being planned. Obama plays a lot of golf and has spent almost all of his time since Labor Day 2011 campaigning for his reelection. This all has followed the most expensive Inaugural in our history.
Recently it was revealed that Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has also been imitating the wasteful travel habits of Barack Obama. Panetta apparently spent more than $800,000 on 27 weekend trips to his California home since July 2011.
Since Obama’s reckless spending necessitates the borrowing of billions of dollars each day, “pay down our debt,” as persistently advocated by Obama, has no rational meaning. The additional tax money Obama plans to take from the American people will also go to pay for more First Family vacations, more golf outings, and more Wagyu Beef for White House functions.
The White House does not appear to have the Politically Correct diet First Lady Obama wants to impose on the rest of us. The Obama family appears to eat better than most of us can afford to under the Obama Repression. If our economy were in good order and our Federal government were functioning at a surplus, I would fully support serving American Wagyu Beef at White House functions. As this is not the situation, I think Obama should be eating hamburger and pork chops like the rest of us are doing.

Government wastes money
It does that without trying. Unfortunately, Obama's government seems to be trying to waste money. They'd probably say it creates jobs or something.

In case you were wondering where Obviousman and Dorotik are... Those two are practicing Russian on one of your older blogs, thinking that they posted in your "Study Russian" blog from yesterday.

"I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and they are painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a new born baby it just happens every day
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and it's heading into black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black."
Panetta "deal"
It must be an election year as Obama is throwing someone else under the bus. My mistake, it doesn't have to be an election year for Obama.
"Contradicting an account by a Pentagon official, the White House is denying that President Obama struck a “deal” with Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta to allow him to commute home to California most weekends on a military aircraft at a cost of $32,000 per round-trip flight and a total of $860,000 as of early April."

Per a CNN poll
Because Condoleezza Rice only gets an 80% approval ratings from them, Republicans must hate Blacks, right Obviousman?
"Of certain select potential vice presidential running mates for Mitt Romney, Condoleezza Rice is by far the most popular among Republicans and it’s not even close, according to a CNN/ORC poll. Rice boasts an approval rating of 80 percent, leading Rick Santorum, whose favorability stands at 65 percent, by 15 points. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie follows with 55 percent, while Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan are one point apart at 44 percent and 43 percent respectively."

@Billy Wayne...Love the poll results....
Billy Wayne, "he-who-must-not-be-named" on this blog needs something to boost his appeal.
If CNN had called me on that poll, I would have picked Chris Christie. Rice comes with the baggage of the George W. Bush years. Frankly there are a number of videos of her speaking where she is shaking her head no, while saying yes in what she is talking about.
But, I can see Romney picking a black women as a VP, it looks good for his image.
Now, if only had a set of issues to stand for, rather than his daily flip-flops, he might be able to pull something off, like coming in second in November.
@May.....wonderful information....
May, you again present a lot of information not supported by any real links supporting your statements.
You state: "Obama and his family have taken seventeen opulent and very expensive vacations and more are being planned." Well, first, I guess it is crystal ball time for you to tell us about "more being planned." First, how many of the previous 17 vacations was Obama actually present? Answer not 17.
Secondly, I would suggest you review the rules for what is covered in Presidential travel and what is not.
Here is a hint. Transportation and security are, food and hotel expenses for security are covered for the security staff, but when the President is on vacation, he has to pay for the accommodations, for himself and his family. When the President's family travels on a vacation, he pays all of the expenses, except for the security expenses incurred by his family.
Sorry, but this rule has been in place for years.
Security for the President and his family are part of the budget appropriated for the President and his family. The Secret Service guys get paid the same amount of money sitting in D.C. doing nothing as they do when the family goes on an "exotic" trip. Then we pay for transportation, hotel and food.
Putting all of that in perspective, how much did the zillion trips Bush took to Texas cost the taxpayers?
But, for a more inclusive analysis, I would suggest that you review:
"The Traveling President" at http://www.factcheck.org/2011/07/the-traveling-president/
This article speaks of Obama's traveling expenses as well as those from past Presidents.
@Billy Wayne Wow!
Billy Wayne: ""Contradicting an account by a Pentagon official, the White House is denying that President Obama struck a “deal” with Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta to allow him to commute home to California most weekends on a military aircraft at a cost of $32,000 per round-trip flight and a total of $860,000 as of early April."
Well, my son, who is a captain in the Air Force, took a vacation in Hawaii, for a week, and the total cost was $12 to buy a meal on the way back.
You see the military has regularly scheduled trips from one location to another to deliver equipment, supplies, etc, etc, etc. A perk of serving in the military is to take advantage of these "hops." The key to ensuring the timing of taking any of these trips, is to schedule the time, and ensure availability. As a "hop" traveler, you may be required to be at the airport at 7 AM, and not actually leave until 11 AM. That happened to my son and his wife.
As Secretary of Defense, Panetta, would qualify as military. But, he is simply taking advantage of an existing schedule set by the military.
The only strings pulled would be to make sure that he had a reserved seat on that aircraft. He would be accompanying freight being carried to and from California.
The Washington Times is not noted for its unbiased opinions.......
Obviousman provides
Obviousman provides a link that is 9 to 10 months old "for a inclusive analysis". Unbelievable!! That is a large part of Obama's presidency being left out. At least this link is newer than that 2 year old link he provided last week.
http://www.factcheck.org/2011/07/the-traveling-president/
BillyWayne, your signature that describes
Something experienced by an 8-year old kid just shows the type of lowlife you are who now has zero credibility and just shows how far the "snakes" will stoop - hey, Obama's kids are ripe for conservative commentary too, correct? Rush Limbaugh will no doubt blame the 8-year old Obama for eating dog meat while ignoring that he equated Chelsea Clinton with a dog. How utterly contemptible to bring childhood actions of anyone into the discussion- greasy-fingered Internet wanna-bes like BillyWayne spewing more of their venom- and completely unsurprising.
Well.....
Well, if "he-who-must-not-be-named" gets elected President, can we expect even more lavish expenditures than the Obama Administration?
Donald Trump threw a lavish birthday party for the wife of "he-who-must-not-be-named" Of course, that didn't cost taxpayers anything except for the Secret Service detail for Romney. Will the White House be remodeled in a style or maybe a new room acceptable to NASCAR owners. Will the White House garage get an elevator system for cars so that Ann can pick which Cadillac to paint the town red in? Will there be a special Presidential limo be created to carry a proper atmospheric capsule for Shamus II, when "he-who-must-not-be-named" decides to take the family on vacation?
Obama's, George W. Bush's, Clinton's , Bush I's, tastes can't even begin to compare to a guy who is worth 200 million dollars, if he becomes President.
Where is Harry Truman when we need him?
Obviousman WOW!
The White House threw Panetta under the bus. That is what I posted about. Not the details about who pays for what (see below).
As far as my quote about it? It does not matter that it came from the Washington Times or the Washington Post in this case.
Thanks for explaining to me about these "hops". I have been on them and don't have to get second hand information like you do.
I have flown military hops and I have flown Flying Tigers, both while in the military. Panetta flew much "wealthier" than that.
This Washington Post article differs with you on most of your accounts about this subject. Or is this newspaper too conservative? Just the title tells you the story: "Panetta said he regretted cost to taxpayers for trips home..."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/panetta-said-he-regretted-cost-to-taxpayers-for-trips-home-to-california/2012/04/16/gIQAGl2OMT_story.html?tid=pm_pop
concern regarding the Democratic waste of taxpayer money
It is good to see concern regarding the Democratic waste of taxpayer money.
Dorotik
Sorry, I shouldn't have quoted from his book? What did I say about his quote? Nothing. What did I say about eating dog? Nothing
So tell me old wise one, what venom did I spew out with this quote? You must be a very sad little person.
Are you saying that Obama can not be criticized because he ONCE was an 8 year old child? Pathetic.
You have no answer so you mention anything to throw us off. My signature has zero to do with Limbaugh and all of the other strawmen you try to insert.
@Billy Wayne and your point is?
Billy Wayne, thank you for pointing out that I used an old link previously.
In terms of trying to find accurate information of who pays for what in personal Presidential travels, the Internet is littered with cons whining about this or that about Obama. Exchange Obama with Bush, and you will find similar results from the libs.
May, is a former employee of the state of Texas, and he could certainly provide some insight as to the rules for State of Texas travel.
For example if you are attending a business meeting/conference, and, if you take your wife, you have to pay her airfare. However, you do not have to pay for her accommodations at the hotel. Room service, or movies in the room are acceptable. If you are high enough up in the food chain--like chairman of a department, you are allowed an entertainment expense--easy to slip you wife in on that one. When entertaining others, alcohol is an acceptable expense.
You can get away by arriving early by at least a day to that conference, and even leave a day late to cover these expenses. But, it is also possible to extend your trip, by simply covering the expenses, until you have to return home. You can stay with uncle Charlie, or aunt Sue, Of course the state will pick up your transportation to the airport.
This may seem like small potatoes, but multiply it by thousands of employees and you could pay for several of Bush's trips to Texas.
But, May would be an expert on this as a former employee of the State of Texas.
@May well.....
May, well we wouldn't want to bring up the past with the waste of money by the Republicans would we? Even though our government is struggling to pay for it today, it is water under the bridge, n'est pas?
@Billy Wayne Question?
Billy Wayne, your buddy Ted Nugent is reportedly going to have an interview with the Secret Service tomorrow? Do you think he is going to do some jail time?
Be careful what you say, this web site is already being monitored for its anti-America remarks by the blogger and some who post here.........
Obviousman you should
Obviousman you should bring up the past, especially when pertinent to the subject at hand.
Maybe we should talk about Nancy Pelosi's excessive expenses that happened during Bush's and Obama's administrations. She is still the lowest rated person in Congress. Meanwhile, speaker of the house Boehner has kept his promise to fly commercial.
You're full of crap, BillyWayne
You know exactly why you put the quote, so don't try to pull your little, "oh, what did I do??" innocent B.S. Unlike you with your pea-sized brain, the rest of us get the implication. Let me guess: Mitt Romney does something stupid regarding a family pet over 20 years ago (which people really need to let go, BTW), when he was AN ADULT, and so....oooo, look at Obama- he actually ate a dog!!! Implication: how much worse is Obama, right? Because, of course, an 8-year old child and a 30-year old have equal decision-making capacities, right? Pathetic tool.
Yes, I have an answer, dillweed
Holding President Obama responsible for something that happened when he was 8 years old is the lowest form of partisan politicking that you can stoop to- welcome to the gutter, BillyWayne- enjoy the smell.
Obviousman's strawman
"Billy Wayne, your buddy Ted Nugent is reportedly going to have an interview with the Secret Service tomorrow? Do you think he is going to do some jail time?"
I answered your question about Ted Nugent only hours ago in another of Mays blogs. I told you I had only looked at the headlines. I told you that Nugent was no hero of mine. I told you he seemed more like a democrat to me. I told you that he should be punished should he be found guilty of breaking a law.
So, why did you call him my "buddy" when you knew I could care less about him? This was not important to me then and is not important to me now.
Did Ted Nugent go flying with Panetta? Is that why you bring this up? He probably took a trip with Bush to Crawford, right?
Yet, you wonder why May does not answer your asinine questions...
Dorotik
Thanks for the gigantic increase in name-calling. I am not surprised there.
I am not holding Obama responsible for anything that he did as an 8 year old. Whether others do is up to them. Should they not know what was part of his development?
I might have unknowingly ate dog when I was in the military. I am not sure to be honest. I am a dog lover and have told my dog loving friends that I might have done this. Of course, I'm not running for the senate or for president. Why do you think Obama included it in his book? Now that it doesn't fit his plans it is to be tossed aside?
I would never compare eating a dog to taking a dog on a family vacation. Do you think they are comparable?
Mr. Axlerod will not let the dog/vacation thing go. Nor will dozens in the media.
In fact, you liberals never mention that Romney did not simply put a dog carrier on the roof of a Chevy station wagon (not a Cadillac). He built a windshield for the carrier. But who cares about the truth, certainly not the liberals. In fact, many liberals lie and say the dog died.
In any case, you are certainly not going to bully me into changing my signature.
@obviousman and dorotik
Have you noticed that "strawman" is one of BillyWayne's favorite words?
I don't recall a similar outrage on May's part
concerning the waste of taxpayer money going to Cheney's favorite corporation.......... Halliburton......
.....just attended my grand daughter's jr. high track meet at Frenship yesterday afternoon......I mentioned to my son's father-in-law, an arch conservative, something that May had said.......his response was...."why do you read that crap?...he's a nut!"
I ask myself the same question often....actually I try not to get involved in the inane back and forth, but I do think it is important to read what the "fringe" element in the wing-nut world is thinking, and what better venue than "MR. CONSERVATIVE"?
Jeff Neely
Jeff Neely reminds me of corporate CEOs of the 80's and 90's. Lavish parties anywhere in the world at the company's expense.
There is this whole sense of entitlement that still hangs on until today.
@BillyWayne
from your referred to link from factcheck.org and "The Traveling President."
FULL QUESTION
Is it true that Air Force One pilots and crew are flying President Obama more than President Bush? And that he flew 172 times in 2010?
FULL ANSWER
Our inbox has been inundated with questions about two separate chain e-mails about President Barack Obama's use of Air Force One in 2010, and about the number of people who accompanied him on a trip to England in 2009. But the suggestion that Obama is traveling more often on the presidential plane, and traveling with larger entourages on international trips than past presidents, is badly mistaken.
The first e-mail forwarded to us by numerous readers claims that "Obama flew in Air Force One 172 times, almost every other day" last year. That's based on a blog post written by the Los Angeles Times' Andrew Malcolm, who got his figures from veteran CBS News reporter Mark Knoller. But figures provided to FactCheck.org by the Air Force's 89th Airlift Wing show that Obama traveled less on Air Force One last year, and in his first two years, than President George W. Bush did.
The second frequently forwarded chain e-mail includes a column from Dale McFeatters of the Scripps Howard News Service. The column says that Obama — when he traveled to London in 2009 for an economic summit of the G-20 nations, not his most recent trip to London in May of this year — "arrived with 500 staff in tow, including 200 Secret Service agents, a team of six doctors, the White House chef and kitchen staff with the president's own food and water." But even assuming that the report is accurate, we also found government and news reports on the international travel of previous presidents that show they at times traveled with as many or more people as Obama reportedly did in 2009, and with similar personnel.
A Continuing Pattern
These latest chain e-mails are part of a continuing pattern of indignant, anonymous authors spreading false and misleading claims about the travels of the president and the first lady.
In November 2010, we wrote about the "highly doubtful" claim that Obama's trip to India would cost $200 million each day. That figure was based on only one report from an Indian news organization that cited an unnamed official, with no additional evidence to support the claim. The White House called the claim "wildly exaggerated."
In July 2009, we wrote about another chain e-mail that complained that the first lady used taxpayer money to take her daughters and her mother on a European vacation. While taxpayers were on the hook for some of the cost of transporting the first family, and for providing security for them, no taxpayer money was used for their personal expenses.
In October 2008, we wrote about the false claim that Michelle Obama spent nearly $450 on room service at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City that year. Not only did Obama not stay at that hotel when she was in the city, according to her husband's then-presidential campaign, she hadn't yet arrived in New York by the time the bogus receipt claimed she had ordered room service.
as to the rest of the article from your link, thanks for clearing up all those Republican email rumors.
While I'm learning how to count, you might want to brush up on your reading and comprehension skills. How's that big toe taste?
Secret trips
What about all those secret trips to Iraq that President Bush took? They could not have been cheap. They were not only risky, but could have left us with Dick Cheney as President if something had gone wrong.
If you choose to be ignorant and not understand the difference
Between an adult making a decision to put a dog on top of a car, windshield and all, and an 8-year old kid having to eat food that was part of a culture- in any case, not having a choice as to eat said food- then I can't help you. I don't want you to take down your signature at all- in fact, I hope you leave it on for the rest of the time you post on here- that's all you need to illustrate how low you're willing to stoop in the name of partisan politics. Matter of fact, you inspired me to include part of it as my signature- thanks!!
@dorotik and obviousman
You had better be careful or BillyWayne will put you (shudder) on "ignore" status. LOL
