Is it possible that we will soon see Democrats clamoring for a fence on our southern border with Mexico? The Democrats may be demanding the fence to keep illegal aliens in the United States and not to prevent more from entering.
Recent reports have shown that more illegal immigrants are returning to Mexico than are entering the United States from Mexico. This is a dramatic change recently noted because the economy of Mexico is doing far better than the economy of the United States.
The Mexican economy grew by approximately 5.5% annual rate during the first quarter of 2012. This was fueled by oil and natural gas production in Mexico. There is no effort by the Mexican government to restrain economic growth and energy production in Mexico. Mexico, along with Canada, is leaving the United States in the dust as their economies continue to grow and prosper.
I have recently met US citizens who were once working in the Gulf of Mexico drilling for US oil. They have lost their jobs due to Obama’s moratorium on drilling in the Gulf, and they are now commuting to Mexico to work in oil exploration and production.
The U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Economic Analysis reported that the US economy is in decline with an annual growth rate in the first quarter of 2012 at only 2.2%.
Real gross domestic product -- the output of goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States -- increased at an annual rate of 2.2 percent in the first quarter of 2012 (that is, from the fourth quarter to the first quarter), according to the "advance" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the fourth quarter of 2011, real GDP increased 3.0 percent.
The Progressive Left seems to be counting on the Illegal Immigrant Vote to carry them to victory in 2012. If illegal immigrants go to Mexico or elsewhere to work, one might expect that Barack Obama will receive a lot fewer votes in November.

It is my understanding you have to be an American citizen to vote. Simply being here does not make one eligible. I would hope these thing are checked during voter registration. And if all of this is true as I suspect it is, then May has written another red herring fallacy, and a big one at that.
@May....
May: "I have recently met US citizens who were once working in the Gulf of Mexico drilling for US oil. They have lost their jobs due to Obama’s moratorium on drilling in the Gulf, and they are now commuting to Mexico to work in oil exploration and production...."
How long ago is "recently" May?
U.S. lifts moratorium on deep-water drilling in Gulf of Mexico Oil industry representatives, however, express concern that new, tighter regulations could slow the issuing of permits. Others oppose ending the suspension amid ongoing inquiries into the BP spill. October 13, 2010 By Neela Banerjee, Tribune Washington Bureau
Reporting from Washington — The Obama administration on Tuesday lifted its moratorium on oil and gas drilling in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico, potentially blunting a serious political issue in the weeks before the midterm congressional election and signaling its confidence in newly tightened regulation.
"There has been significant progress over the last few months in enhancing the safety of future drilling operations, and in addressing some of the weaknesses in spill containment and oil spill response," Michael Bromwich, director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement, said in announcing the moratorium's end. "More needs to be done," he said, "but we believe the risks of deepwater drilling have been reduced sufficiently to allow drilling under existing and new regulations." http://articles.latimes.com/2010/oct/13/nation/la-na-oil-moratorium-20101013
And then there is:
"Ongoing permitting: facts and figures (Please note that these numbers are updated daily)
Shallow water: To date, 127 new shallow water well permits have been issued since the implementation of new safety and environmental standards on June 8, 2010. Just 4 of these permits are currently pending; with 8 having been returned to the operator for more information.
Deepwater drilling applications fall into two categories for the implementation of our new regulations. To clarify these differences, we have included the narrative below. The deepwater moratorium was lifted on October 12, 2010, and is the reference for inclusion of new rules in applications:
Deepwater permits requiring subsea containment: Since an applicant first successfully demonstrated containment capabilities in mid-February 2011, we have approved 401 of these permits for 112 unique wells, with 33 permits pending, and 14 permits returned to the operator with requests for additional information, particularly information regarding containment.
Deepwater activities not requiring subsea containment: Since the implementation of new safety and environmental standards, 66 of these permits have been approved, with 1 permit pending, and 1 permit returned to the operator with requests for additional information. These activities include water injection wells and procedures using surface blowout preventers...." http://www.bsee.gov/Regulations-and-Guidance/Permits/Status-of-Gulf-of-Mexico-Well-Permits.aspx
So your claims about the moratorium are bogus.....
If the "Democrats" build the fence, maybe they can sub-contract the electrification of it to Herman Cain......
Another day, another blog, with sloppy research....
"So your claims about the
"So your claims about the moratorium are bogus....."
Dr. May didn't make a single claim about the gulf oil moratorium, much less multiple claims. He merely said he met U.S. citizens who "have lost their jobs due to Obama’s moratorium on drilling in the Gulf, and they are now commuting to Mexico to work in oil exploration and production."
And you say my comprehension is bad.
@Billy Wayne
Billy Wayne, May said recently. The ban was lifted almost two years ago.
May's "friends" sound like a bunch of whiners....
LarGordo
Apparently you havent been paying attention to all the links Ive put on this blog about voter fraud, even one who walked in and claimed Eric Holder's Ballot. Yes, the LAW is that you must be a citizen, but that doesnt keep many who arent from fraudulently using other's identities to vote.
May: I have recently...
May: "I have recently met US citizens who were once working in the Gulf of Mexico drilling for US oil."
Obviousman, you spin, spin, spin... and badly at that. Sorry, but you can't just move the "recently" around to make it mean what you want it to mean.
So again, what were May's claims about the moratorium again? The answer is that he made ZERO claims.
@Angela
Yes, voter fraud would make it possible for illegals to vote. If it is that big a problem though, we have a bigger problem with the procedures we use for voter registration.
@Billy Wayne Reading comprehension issues...
Billy Wayne, here is exactly what May said:
"I have recently met US citizens who were once working in the Gulf of Mexico drilling for US oil. They have lost their jobs due to Obama’s moratorium on drilling in the Gulf, and they are now commuting to Mexico to work in oil exploration and production."
The moratorium lasted 6 months. Permits started being issued immediately after the ban was lifted. That was in October, 2010--almost 2 years ago.
May RECENTLY talked to U.S. citizens who lost their jobs because of the moratorium and are now working in Mexico.
This is one of May's deliberate misstatements implying the moratorium was still in place.
I am very happy I could clear your reading problem on what May wrote.
And in advance, you are very welcome.
Fraudulent voter registration.....
Here is an example of fraudulent that just didn't work out very well.....

Albuquerque Dog Becomes Registered Voter
An Albuquerque man says he successfully registered his dog to vote in Bernalillo County.
The dog owner said he saw a voter registration booth on the University of New Mexico’s campus a few weeks ago and decided to see how easy it would be to register his dog to vote.
He said he was trying to expose the problems with the registration system. He said he just received the dog’s voter registration card in the mail Wednesday, and it was way too easy.
“They should verify. Somebody should have verified this information and somebody should have come out and took a look at exactly who it was. But I made up a birth date, and I made up a social security number and I had a voter registration card in my hand for Buddy two weeks later,” the dog owner said.
KOB Eyewitness News 4 contacted the Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office. They said state law does not require proof of your social, your date of birth, or even your name. But they said what this man did is voter fraud....."
"County Clerk: Man Who Registered Dog to Vote Subject to Felony Voter Fraud
The Bernalillo County Clerk says the Albuquerque man who claims to have registered his dog to vote will be subject to potential prosecution for voter registration fraud, a 4th degree felony in New Mexico....."
"Dog Registered to Vote Linked to Heather Wilson’s Senate Campaign
The man who registered his dog to vote is married to a senior campaign staff member of U.S. Senate candidate Heather Wilson, and could soon face felony voter registration fraud charges.
Thomas Tolbert, a Republican, registered his dog Buddy as a Democrat in an attempt to expose problems with New Mexico’s voter registration system, he told KOB Eyewitness News 4.
Buddy received a voter registration card, but Tolbert said he never intended to attempt to use the card at the polls.
However, the Bernalillo County Clerk wants law enforcement to investigate Tolbert’s actions.
“I would warn those individuals who think this type of activity is a joke or a ‘gotcha’ that, regardless of their intentions, they have broken the law and will therefore have to be subject to due process of law,” County Clerk Maggie Toulouse Oliver said...." http://leaksource.wordpress.com/2012/03/03/man-registers-dog-to-vote-in-new-mexico/
Who is Heather Wilson? She is one of the REPUBLICAN candidates for Senate in New Mexico?
A Republican? Who would have thunk it? Is Republicans learning?
@May Rasmussen....
May. last week you pointed out that after Romney won the 5 primaries in one night, Romney moved ahead +5 points in the Rasmussen polls.
Today, Obama, has a +2 lead over Romney in the Rasmussen poll.
What happened?
Obviousman's lack of comprehension, lol
Obviousman: "This is one of May's deliberate misstatements implying the moratorium was still in place."
You have to stretch his statements a lot just to hear what you think is "implied". That is pretty sad.
And guess what, it is still not applicable to today's blog.
But if you want to sale your case you might want to put in some post moratorium tidbits in. Maybe you don't realize it but you just don't start drilling in the Gulf like it is a Mom and Pop hamburger joint. Many of the rigs were sent to South America because Obama underwrote billions for Brazil. “The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil's state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil's Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil's planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan.” http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203863204574346610120524166.html
"The Cost of Obama’s Gulf Oil Permit Slowdown"
"Yesterday, I reported on Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal pointing out that during a late winter of skyrocketing gasoline prices, the president who keeps taking credit for increased domestic oil production has actually slowed the approval of leases and permits in the Gulf of Mexico to a crawl."
http://www.nationalreview.com/campaign-spot/292136/cost-obamas-gulf-oil-permit-slowdown
@Billy Wayne Ah Petrobras....
Billy Wayne LOL....The Petrobras scam. What happened to George Soros as part of that deal in your spin?
Again, this is water under the bridge that has previously discussed on this blog.
All of the paperwork for the Petrobras "loan" was done during the last year of the Bush Administration....
Ahah! The liberals are trying to blame another one on Bush! No!
Not a single tax-payer dollar was involved in this deal. All of the money came from PRIVATE investors in the Export-Import Bank. The deal was that equipment for this project was to be purchased from U.S. manufacturers of oil equipment. This "project" overlapped the Bush and Obama Administrations.
Check Forbes out on this: "Dispelling the Brazil Oil Loan Myth as Obama Heads to Rio" http://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2011/03/17/dispelling-the-petrobras-loan-myth-as-obama-heads-to-rio/
I have been through this con lie with May three times are more. He refuses to accept the facts, and now you are trying to do the same.
It simply begs the question: "Is Republicans learning"
DUH!
Obviousman polls
Obviousman: "May. last week you pointed out that after Romney won the 5 primaries in one night, Romney moved ahead +5 points in the Rasmussen polls."
Today, Obama, has a +2 lead over Romney in the Rasmussen poll."
First, it was May's April 26th blog, not last week.
It is the presidential daily tracking poll. Romney got the obvious bump from the good news. I would think that you be obvious to obviousman, guess not.
Meanwhile, Romney went ahead in Florida.
"A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the Sunshine State finds Romney with 46% of the vote, while Obama earns 45% support. In mid-March, the president held a three-point advantage over Romney, 46% to 43%. Obama led by a similar 47% to 44% margin inearly February."

@Billy Wayne Cost of oil permit slowdown....
Billy Wayne, in response to your right-wing pundit from the National Review, I offer this return; "FACT CHECK: The US Is A Net Oil Exporter And More Drilling Didn’t Drop Gas Prices" http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/2012/03/23/fact-check-net-oil-exporter-drilling-drop-gas-prices-103271/
Is Republicans learning? LOL
@Billy Wayne OKaaay
May is always mouthing off about something, yesterday, three days ago, whenever, it is meaningless babble of cherry picked information when he chooses to document it.
Billy Wayne, how is Romney doing in the other 6 swing states?
The polls in Florida are close, but fall within the plus or minus 3% of error range. Wonder how many Hispanics and Blacks were part of that poll?
Obama hasn't campaigned in Florida yet.....and your point is ?
Hey obviousman
I am not going to get involved in your red herrings. You've been posting about oil for a couple of weeks now. I didn't read your posts then and I am not going to read them now. At least then they had something to do with that day’s blog.
When I decide to get involved in an oil debate you'll know. But feel free to chase yourself down the rabbit hole.
@BillyWayne LOL
Billy Wayne, I've been posting more than weeks about oil.
Thank you for proving my point......LOL
I find it quite amusing to prove you wrong--just like I do with May......
Oblivious
So all that does is prove that much tougher voter registration laws should be in place and enforced. Not requiring any social security number, no proof of citizenship... these should be a nobrainer
Obviousman
You are the man.
Who else can go off on a wild tangent on a Saturday night, not be pursued by anyone and claim to have proven someone not involved in the debate to be wrong.
But I suspect a lot of your "victories" are because you post the LAST comments in the middle of the night.
Hey Billy Wayne
This is exactly what Oblivious has accused me of, coming back to old posts and posting to try to get the last word HAHA
@Angela Well.....
Well, Angela, you apparently have no fear when signing something that says: "Under penalty of law, I certify blah, blah, blah...." Sorry, but I have always taken those statements seriously when doing so.
So far, I have not ended up in jail, been fined, or suffered any serious consequences for telling the truth.
But you and other cons live in fear that someone not qualified to vote is going to vote and not for the side you support. If they voted on YOUR side, you wouldn't give a whit.
And that group you fear is illegal Hispanics. They will vote liberal from your viewpoint.
You are unable to walk in their shoes everyday. Let's pretend that you are an illegal, and so far you haven't gotten caught. The trick to not getting caught is being invisible. We Harry Potter's cloak of invisibility isn't on the market yet, so what's the next best thing? First you need a job to make money, and you need a set of papers that makes you "legal" to present to your employer. The key is a fake SS number. How many employers verify the SS number to a real person--especially for a minimum wage job? The law says they are supposed to. Facts show that a lot don't.
Whatever! You have entered the United States illegally. You have a job, thanks to fake documentation. Why should you feel emboldened by this success? Fugitives are always looking over their shoulder.
So, if you are in this position, why would you even want to consider registering to vote? Exposing yourself even to a minimum set of requirements: "Under penalty of law, I certify........" is stupid. People in hiding are not stupid, and we can assume that you, Angela, are not in hiding, otherwise you would be risking exposure by posting on this web. If authorities were searching for you, Angela, they could go to the A-J, and track you down.
Why would anyone of "illegal status" even consider voting? Why risk the exposure?
But, since you are harping on this subject what are the stats on illegals voting--say in 2008 and who have been prosecuted for doing so? Of those who were caught, would they have changed the outcome of the election?
And so, you are simply buying into the ex-con fear mantra illegals are voting and they are going to cause Obama to win in 2012.
That dog don't hunt, Angela.
And I would really, really think twice before lowering my standards of remarks down to the level of Billy Wayne.....
Is Republicans learning?
You are so... OBLIVIOUS
you dont bother to look around and see what is happening do you?
@Angela No
Angela, I am not paranoid like the cons are.
Oblivious
You cant be paranoid when you stick your head in the sand so you dont have to see.
@Angela Well.....
Angela, I don't stick my head in the sand. And I don't fall in lockstep taking marching order, without question from sources of information that have been shown to be distorted, misleading or outright lies.
I question everything and realize there are no perfect answers, especially when it comes to politics.
The ex-cons, cons, Tea Party tyrants, have distorted views of reality. They are regressive. They wish to live in a previous century.
As we learn more about our world--in every aspect, the evolution of ideas happens. Those of the dinosaur mind-set will become extinct as time passes. This does not require a revolution, but is the simple process of evolution in the passing of time.
If by regressive
you mean an earlier method of governing that worked much better than what we have today.. please by all means paint me regressive
