Iowa Sixth Graders Confront Obama

A group of sixth grade students are getting first hand experience with Washington politics.  These students and the American people are realizing that President Obama is punishing them because the Republicans have refused to give Obama any additional tax increases.

These children understand what Obama does not appear to comprehend.  The government of the United States of America belongs to the American people and not to Barack Obama.  The children appropriately politely demanded of President Obama, "The White House is our house, please let us visit!"

Politicker reported,

A group of sixth graders from St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Waverly, Iowa has turned to the internet to save their school trip to the White House. The children were scheduled to tour the White House on March 16, but their visit was cancelled yesterday along with all other tours of the presidential residence due to “staffing reductions” caused by the so-called “sequester” budget cuts that took effect last Friday after lawmakers failed to make a deficit reduction deal. In an effort to muster support and salvage their trip, the school posted a brief video on Facebook featuring a plea from the children.

“The White House is our house, please let us visit!” the sixth graders say in the clip.

According to Christi Line, the principal of St. Paul’s Lutheran, the trip is a “big event” for the children, who are in their final year at the private, Christian school.

“This is our first White House trip and we’d hoped to make it an annual event,” Ms. Line told Politicker in a phone call this evening. “This is a new capstone project that we have initiated this year for our sixth grade.”

Politicker concluded,

Ms. Line described the D.C. trip as a chance for the students to “find out more about how the government works,” to “extend their learning in the classroom about American history” and to learn more about “how they can live out their lives to make the world a better place.” Though the sixth graders won’t be able to visit the White House, Ms. Line said the school was not canceling the field trip and that the students would visit other landmarks, including the U.S. Capitol, where House Speaker John Boehner has vowed public tours will continue in spite of the “sequester” cuts.

“We will still go to D.C.,” said Ms. Line. “We are not canceling our trip because the White House tour will not be accessible to us.”

These students are learning more about Washington politics and corrupt leaders than they had planned to learn.  Hopefully their generation will not fall under the influence of Barack Obama and the Progressive Left.

Team Obama - the liars

Nope, it is not just Obama lying now, it is Team Obama Liars. They are all accused of lying about the effects of the Sequester. They get a lot of Pinocchios for lying from the WaPo and Politifact per the left leaning Politico.

http://www.politico.com/politico44/2013/03/obama-administration-sequester-claims-shot-down-by-158626.html

"As POLITICO’s Glenn Thrush and Carrie Budoff Brown report on the home page, the White House now has pulled back from issuing doomsday scenarios after some of their claims fell flat. Here are six such claims:

“You know, those Capitol janitors will not get as much overtime. I’m sure they think less pay, that they’re taking home, does hurt.” — Gene Sperling, director of the White House economic council, on ABC News’ “This Week.”

Four Pinocchios from the Washington Post Fact Checker

“On the issue of the janitors, if you work for an hourly wage and you earn overtime, and you depend on that overtime to make ends meet, it is simply a fact that a reduction in overtime is a reduction in your pay.” — White House spokesman Jay Carney

You are repeating yourself from yesterday.

Guess you didn't get the attention you thought you deserved. Boo Hoo.....

May

But, you imply with your blog title, the sixth-graders directly confronted Obama. That didn't happen did it?

Distort the information, do a cut-and-paste and you have another lame meaningless "blog".

DUH!

Isn't it touching that May is so concerned about

sixth graders from Iowa? Why didn't he find some Texas sixth graders with the same predicament and take up their cause?

May and BillyWayne—Sources

Politico and Politifact are hardly unbiased news outlets. The same goes for May's use of Politicker

When I went to check for Far Left Liberal media sites, the only thing I could find were references from far right conservatives sites (so many extreme sites!) that mentioned far left liberal media but never gave any specific names of these far left liberal sources. That's lying extreme conservatives for you.

May quoting Politicker: " [ .

May quoting Politicker: " [ . . . ] Ms. Line described the D.C. trip as a chance for the students to “find out more about how the government works,” [ . . . ]".

Do we really want to send our children to Washington, D.C. to find out how our government works at the moment? Do we? How do we explain OBSTRUCTIONIST REPUBLICANS who resort shameless, undemocratic coercion instead of compromise which our form of government applauds?

Any elementary school would get upset because their trip to visit the White House AND Washington, D.C. was cancelled.

There was only one phrase that these six-graders said that was videoed by their teacher. To me it sounds much like a sixth-grade school teacher holding the White House hostage as it does the OBSTRUCTIONIST REPUBLICANS with their outrageous sequester.

get ready for another angry rant...

The Unemployment rate fell to 7.7% as payrolls added 236,00 new jobs.

Housing rebounding, stock market at all-time highs, and falling unemployment. All bad news for the Republicans. Just imagine where we would be if they had decided to work for the people, not their party.

Take this number, multiple it by three, and that's the number of jobs we were losing a month under Bush.

Some turn around, i'd say!

Sequester this.......

WH sequester

Perhaps the sixth graders can get a tour if they volunteer to help Michelle mop the floors, and maybe she can go to the kitchen and make them some low calorie snacks.

Maybe you could drive them in a school bus all the way from Iowa. LOL

A politician will stoop to new depths in order to make a statement, even disappointing sixth graders. Obama, what a guy!

"It doesn't that much to amuse you apparently." - Mr. Largordo

Didn't you leave our a word? And you teach writing?!?

Man what a cushy job you have. Sit at work making incessant comments on this (and probably other comment sections) all the while drawing a salary at tax-payers expense. Must be nice.

Excuse me while I go to my first shift.

Enjoy the weekend Dr. May. Keep it up!

Much Needed Limerick

Republicans issued a sequester

That created an unholy fester.

Democrats said "Fie on thee!"

To which the Republicans cried,

"Don't blame me!

So typical of Repubs. So typical.

Bert—word omission

Yes, apparently I omitted the word "take" in my comment to you. (Just so you know, "take"is a verb. You know, the word that performs the action.) Will you forever forgive this retired writing teacher? That is what happens when you get in a hurry without proofreading first.

Now get back to the White House lawn and plant those petunias.

Berty Boy

Bert said: Didn't you leave our a word? And you teach writing?!?

The word you want is "out" not "our." "Out" here is the verb particle [from: leave out]. "Our" is the first person plural possessive pronoun as in "Our house", "our comments", etc.

Have a good shift. Hope this little lesson wasn't too much at one time for you.

Obama Lies!

The operation of the White House and it's staff were never part of the sequester.

This is a big lie by the leftists!

Obama's Bees

Are the Obama's gonna get rid of their private bee-hives too?

If the bees went away, Obama could not produce his Honey Wheat Ale.

One thing is certain, Obama wouldn't make a good bee. Because they actually work.

Oblivious, do you have any intellect?

"You are repeating yourself from yesterday. Guess you didn't get the attention you thought you deserved. Boo Hoo"

I posted it past 10 pm last night so I did not expect any attention. DUH!

YOU and Largordo both gave me attention last night though. Did you forget? It was a lot more than I expected. LOL

I reposted it (reposting is something that YOU do often) today because today's blog ALSO has to do with the Sequester.

DUH! DUH! DUH!

I might change my mind... maybe one of your aliases is Largordo as neither of you have any intellect today.

I saw another young man wearing a light blue "UN" shirt

though no helmet. Not sure if he is an advance for those tanks to roll down Indiana, or if he is excited about March-madness b-ball. Either way, we must remain armed and dangerous!

Meanwhile, today's topic is half-*ss, while Citgo's flags fly half-mast (in Texas!)

Tomorrow, we can discuss what 2.36" blades, Lacrosse sticks, Thorr's hammer, and one or two golf clubs don't have in common with toothpaste.

USDA meat inspectors to be

USDA meat inspectors to be sent home, but the USDA sponsored event in Fresno next week and another in Oregon in April are still on "go". Nevermind that such a great interruption in our meat supply has never been duplicated by disease outbreaks or infection or enemy attack. Meat production is set up so that, without inspectors, they cannot conduct business.

The government is set to pull in more revenue than last year and more than any year in history.

When people don't get involved in politics, they are ruled by lying idiots who have the same mentality as the Democrats who destroyed Detroit.
