Signing day quiet for Texas Tech men's basketball team (Runnin' with the Raiders blog)

The start of the early signing period Wednesday was a quiet time for the Texas Tech men's basketball team.

Tech didn't receive any national letters of intent Wednesday, though that was to be expected. The Red Raiders had received a oral commitment from Liberty Hill forward Blake Danielak in February, but last month he re-opened his recruitment following the resignation of former Tech coach Billy Gillispie.

Barring transfers, Tech won't have much room to add new players to next year's team. Guard Ty Nurse is the only senior on this season's roster, so almost all players should return next season.

There could be additional scholarships available, though, because of the departures of Rodrigo Silva and Wannah Bail, class of 2012 signees who left the Tech program before the start of the season.

The early signing period lasts until Nov. 21. The regular signing period will begin April 17, 2013.

Did anyone hear that?

Nothing... what did we expect from a last placed finish team last year with an interim coach. I like the next Walker, and think that he will be good for the community and program, but i really didnt think people would be rushing here on signing day 1.
