Never mind for a moment which college-football team is No. 1 on the field. Is Texas losing its grip on being No. 1 at the bank?

According to an annual analysis of the values of college-football programs, Texas remains the most valuable team in the sport. But the gap is narrowing: The Longhorns—whose 2011-12 valuation is $761.7 million—now are only slightly ahead of Michigan ($731.9 million).

That's actually impressive

I guess to me this says that we weren't so divided as I thought, or that at least those who weren't happy were still supporting Tech with their pocketbook. To think we are ranked 22 means we have a pretty nice brand and have been marketed well, for being a school from Lubbock, TX. I know compared to the top 5 its not great but ranked 22nd is still nothing to sneeze at. Go Tech!
