Sunday is Feb. 3.It will mark the 49th anniversary of the death of Buddy Holly. The Cactus Theater planned a "Crickets Tribute" concert on Saturday night. The bad news is that it has been canceled, presumably because the advance ticket sales sucked. The good news is that the Cactus still plans to perform 1950s tribute concerts at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday Feb. 1.Those have always been tons of fun.Looking not that far into the future:When Feb. 3, 2009, arrives, the late great Charles Hardin "Buddy" Holly will have been deceased for 50 years.
