LUBBOCK, Texas — Clint Chelf was handed the OSU offense seven quarters ago. And since then, Chelf has completed 39.2 percent of his passes.

The Cowboys are 2-0 with Chelf, but that's a testament to the watered-down Big 12, not the resiliency of the OSU offense. Now the Cowboys are out here on the South Plains, with a must-win-for-title-contention game against Texas Tech, and OSU apparently will stick with Chelf.

I think it's the wrong move. Chelf's superior arm can stretch defenses. But J.W. Walsh's superior accuracy is more valuable than Chelf's deep balls.

NORMAN — Throughout the first 12 seasons of the Bob Stoops era, only two visiting teams walked off Oklahoma's Owen Field victorious.

Texas Tech visited Norman in 2002 and 2008 harboring Big 12 championship dreams only to have them shattered in embarrassing fashion.

When it comes to Kliff Kingsbury, it’s way too easy to focus on the peripheral. Maybe because it’s measurably true: Texas Tech’s coach is hotter than your coach. But the real beauty is in what he’s done in his first seven games as a head coach.

Oklahoma's football program remained last in the Big 12, according to the NCAA's latest Graduation Success Rate numbers released Thursday.

The numbers, though, were an improvement on last year and the best for OU football since 1999.
