Letters to the editor, including e-mail letters, must include the writer's name, street address, city, and a daytime telephone number for confirmation. A post office box is insufficient, for these purposes.

Addresses and phone numbers are not published or otherwise given out. Mailed and faxed letters must be signed. Letters of more than 250 words will be not considered or published. No more than one letter per person per month will be published. Due to the volume of mail, we do not acknowledge receipt of individual letters.

Names of specific private businesses cannot be mentioned, either for compliments or criticism. Anonymous, unsigned, initials only, or "name withheld" letters are not published. All letters are subject to editing for brevity, clarity or legality.
