A Lubbock woman died in a one-vehicle rollover Saturday morning in Crosby County.

Angela Rene Shrimpton, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash about 10:15 a.m. on FM 261, two miles east of FM 651, said Cpl. John Gonzalez of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Investigators believe Shrimpton was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, traveling east and approached a curve on FM 261 when she failed to negotiate the turn, losing control of the vehicle. The Tahoe left the roadway and rolled over several times.

Shrimpton was wearing a seat belt.

It was unclear by late Saturday if speed was a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
