Ellory Rose Whillock, age 20, died in Austin, Texas, Dec. 18, 2010.
Ellory was born Oct. 24, 1990, in Lubbock, Texas, to Sharon and Jeff Whillock. Her father is a property manager in Lubbock; her mother an oncology nurse in Austin.
Ellory graduated from Lake Travis High School in 2009 and was a second year student at Austin Community College.
Ellory was exceedingly charitable, having a natural inclination toward kindness to everyone, friend or stranger. She was a regular at live music events, loving the local Austin music scene. More than anything, Ellory was a social butterfly, collecting huge swaths of friends with ease, her gregarious and unburdensome nature making her infinitely easy to fall in love with. She was always in perpetual motion, giving her time and attention to as many friends and family as could be squeezed into a day.
Ellory is survived by her mother, Sharon Whillock; father, Jeff Whillock; grandfather, Edward Maeker; grandmother, Evalyn Cox; and brother, Dustin Hucks.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Lake Hills Church, 11521 Bee Caves in Austin.
Ellory's parents will receive friends and family on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at 7903 Wayne Ave., Lubbock, Texas, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m.
