Van Alan Hudsepth

Funeral services for Van Alan Hudsepth, 50, of Lubbock will be 10 a.m. CST Monday at the Faith Tabernacle in Lubbock. A second service will be held at 1:30 p.m. MST at Sandia Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico. Burial will be in Clovis, N.M. at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at Rix Funeral Directors. Van died March 16, 2011 in Lubbock.

Van was born on July 13, 1960 in Clovis, NM to Earl and Elizabeth (Poole) Hudspeth. On June 10, 2006 he married Letha (Kat) Self. Van was a machinist and a very valuable employee of Harman Tank Company for the past 20 years. True to his love for animals, he was co-owner of Best Friends Furever Pet Salon. Van was known for being an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.

Van is survived by his wife, Letha (Kat) of Lubbock; parents, Earl and Janice Hudspeth of Clovis; two sisters, Elaine Williford of Clovis and Glynda Jensen of Rowlett, TX; two brothers, Harvey Hudspeth and wife Gloria and Rick Hudspeth and wife Cindy all of Amarillo; three stepsons, Whitt Herring, Scott Self and Matthew Self, all of Lubbock; one granddaughter, Rainy Self of San Antonio; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; and mother-in-law, Betty Tate of Lubbock.
