Lady Raider Audrisa Harrison out for season (Krista Pirtle's Blog)

Senior guard Audrisa Harrison tore her ACL in a summer workout and is out for the year, Texas Tech confirmed Friday. 

Last season Harrison started 19 games for Texas Tech women's basketball and averaged 3.5 points and 4.21 rebounds in 16.7 minutes per game. 

The Lady Raiders begin their season Nov. 14 against Jacksonville State in United Supermarkets Arena. 

Brandi Poole helped turn Indiana women's basketball from a six-win program to a 21-win program in two years.

Big 12 WBB conference schedule announced (Krista Pirtle's Blog)

The Big 12 has released its 2015 women's basketball conference schedule.

The season begins on Jan. 3 and ends on March 3.

Dates may be adjusted after the television schedule is released.

Texas Tech women's basketball opens up conference play on Jan. 3 against TCU in Lubbock.

The first four of Texas Tech women's basketball's 12 non-conference games will be played at home, starting with a Nov. 14 game against Jacksonville State, Texas Tech athletics announced Monday.

Texas Tech on Saturday announced the resignation of women's basketball assistant coach Brett Schneider, who spent one season with the Lady Raiders. Women's basketball spokesman Travis Cram said he did not know specifics of why Schneider resigned.

Nigel Bethel II wished his sister Taylor a happy birthday via Twitter on Thursday. The freshman cornerback, who was enrolled at Texas Tech for the summer session, sent out a message he got a 94 on his last exam at Texas Tech on Friday.

Three Lady Raiders leave team (Krista Pirtle's Blog)

Texas Tech confirmed that former Lady Raider basketball players Marina Lizarazu, Diamond Lockhart and Jasmine Caston asked for releases. 

Tech will grant their releases to any school outside the Big 12. 

Freshman point guard Lizarazu started 21 of 30 games for Tech and showcased her behind-the-back handle while averaging five points per contest.  

Lockhart, another freshman point guard, started 11 of 30 games. She averaged 4.3 points in 17.4 minutes per contest. Lockhart shot 30.5 percent from the floor while recording only 39 assists on the season.
