I guess I'm going to start having to read the weather reports.
I left Lubbock this morning and it was nice and cool, wearing a long sleeve button down shirt. Sitting outdoors in the shade right now an hour before game time and the scoreboard says 89 degrees. OOOFF!!!

Oh well, as long as the Chicken is still open tonight, that's all that matters.
Now, on to more important stuff.
Like any good ocllege campus, there's always new buildings from the last time I was here. Tech's lineup is a carbon copy of Tuesday's in New Mexico. Rueda is the DH still nursing his sore right arm, but Kreder is in the lineup apparently not affected by the ball he took off the right wrist late in the game against the Lobos.
A couple of familiar West Texas names in the lineup for the Aggies -- former Cooper standout Darby Brown and former Monterey Plainsman Daman Aaron, hitting sixth and eighth, respectively. Brown is the DH, Aaron is starting in left.
More after the first inning of play,
