Cooper begins its hunt for a third-straight district title when it hosts Browfield in the District 2-3A opener at 6:30 p.m. today.
The Lady Pirates (17-2) haven’t lost a district game in the past two seasons.
Estacado and Shallowater will be two of the top challengers to Cooper. The Lady Matadors head to Lamesa at 6:30 p.m. today, and the Fillies host Levelland at 6 p.m.
In Class 5A, Coronado had its doubleheader against Hobbs, N.M., canceled Monday. The doubleheader has been rescheduled for April 17. The Lady Mustangs are idle today.
Monterey will head to Tascosa at 5:30 p.m., and Lubbock High hosts Amarillo at 6:30 p.m.
Frenship will travel to Plainview at 6:30 p.m.
