Texas Tech blew an eight-run lead, but came back in the bottom of the 12th for a 10-9 victory and a three-game sweep of Houston.
A team that has struggled all season just to win a weekend series, much less sweep one, didn’t really care how that sweep came about Sunday.
Texas Tech didn’t mind blowing what seemed like a very comfortable eight-run lead or having to play three extra innings because of it, and certainly didn’t care how the winning run scored, just that it did. Nick Hanslik came across on a two-out infield single by Barrett Barnes in the bottom of the 12th for a 10-9 Tech victory and a three-game sweep of Houston at Rip Griffin Park.
