On a hot, late spring day, longtime Texas Tech baseball supporter Rip Griffin was entertaining athletic director Kirby Hocutt, former Red Raider Dale Redman and men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie in his luxury box at Dan Law Field. But without an air conditioner, the trio had a difficult time focusing on their conversation. "The next day we went out there and Kirby had already gotten a new air conditioner," Griffin said.
