you really count the 3 OOC games? We've played 8 conf games. We've won 2 (bottom-halfers ISU and WVU) and tied 2 (bottom-halfers TCU and KU) ... and lost 4, including 3 absolute beatdowns (KSU, OSU, OU). While we are 4-4 in conf, a more accurate reading would be 3-5, which would be our record if we split the two OT games. There is a reason OSU was favored by 11 over TTU, and lowly BAY, w/ only 2 conf wins, is favored by 2, despite playing on a neutral field).

Let me put it another way. Since we beat OU last year, we've play 13 games, and won 4, and 2 of those were in OT. Meaning we were ahead in regulation in only 2 of 13 conf games. Pathetic.

Tubs needs to improve next year and the next. Gunz, we've improved from last year. Even though my expectations went through the roof when we was 6-1 I had the feeling that I was wrong but you had it down almost to a exact science. I dont like the "fact" that we've been blown out by 3 of the top 4 teams in the conference but we have beat the teams we were suppose to beat. It doesnt matter if we won in regulation or in OT when we should have won in regulation. A win is a win. Im optimistic when it comes to what Tech can accomplish if Tubs & Co. can develop the talent they are bringing in. Guys like Davis, Wheeler, Brewer, Ward, Starts, Lollar, & "Mr Scooter Smith". Hopefully, this recruiting class solves our pass rushing woes on Defense, add speed & depth with little drop off in talent in the secondary & Kaufman can implement blitz packages, stunts on the D-Line & zone schemes to help slow down our opponents. With Bell, Amaro, & hopefully Marquez returning next season we should NOT have a problem moving the ball next season with a "Mobile QB". NO EXCUSES!

In that scenario, I don't think Chancellor Himself or his cronies would interfere in the hiring process. (They were too lucky to get away with their last interference--should have cost accreditation.)

I think if the opportunity arises, I am in favor of hiring a coach without head coaching experience. You would get a younger type who would surround himself with younger assistants, etc. (And I'm definitely not young.) And, of course, you would pay less.

Just sad and pathetic how Kent Hance has ruined out athletic department.

While most are "pushing through" another season, the continued "drivel" by those who have the most to anguish and scream about, always seems to take a front row. Furthermore, they are not happy enough unless everyone knows just how much they disapprove of anything. If it's not Leach, it's Hance. If it's not Hance, it's Tuberville. All are the truth of what is wrong in the world of Texas Tech. Truth be told, they don't like the regents, logo on the field, the brick or the roof tiles on the buildings. Thank God the powers that be are not asking for approval from this bunch, but then again, maybe we should. But the truth is, they would bemoan their own decisions. I always have trouble reading the AJ for Tech coverage, and beyond that, the comments are fodder for good entertainment. And I know if I think it's humorous, Kent Hance will get a good chuckle as well.
