Texas Tech and Baylor have exercised a two-year option to keep their football series at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington through 2014. Tech made the announcement Tuesday.
Tech and Baylor just completed a two-year contract for games at Cowboys Stadium, and the contract had a two-year option.
Baylor is giving up the 2013 game in Waco, and Tech is giving up the 2014 game in Lubbock.
The decision to keep the series at a neutral site had been expected. Hocutt told the Avalanche-Journal last month that he would approve the deal if given assurance by the Big 12 Conference that the 2014 game would be on Thanksgiving weekend. He indicated he was last the last person to sign off on it, because Baylor already had consented.
The 2013 game is scheduled for Nov. 16.
Tech also announced Tuesday that next season’s Family Weekend will be in conjunction with the Sept. 21 Texas State game and homecoming will be the weekend of the Oct. 12 game against Iowa State.

I don't mind enjoying the game in the Metroplex. I just wish they would play somewhere where they don't charge $50 to park my car!
I wish it was only $50
I'm going to the Cotton Bowl and I think they're charging $69 for that. Damn.
The original price of our tickets is $125. But they were soaked up by the resellers. We had to pay $335. They are now close to $500 for the same row and section and some people are asking $1250/ticket via the web.
I asked the wife at what price would she sell. She said she wouldn't sell. Boomer Sooner!
