AMES, Iowa — Mikey Kenney sparked two five-run innings with a pair of two-run singles and Gretchen Aucoin homered and notched a pitching victory as Texas Tech run-ruled Iowa State 15-5 Sunday in Big 12 Conference softball.
Aucoin hit a two-run homer in the fourth and an RBI single in the fifth as Tech (29-21, 3-9) won its first Big 12 series this season. She finished 3 for 3.
Sydnie Tapia and Shelby Johnson had two RBIs apiece for the Red Raiders.

RHODES, Iowa — Gabriella Dominguez and Kim Kaufman both were top 20 individually, but Texas Tech finished fifth in the Big 12 women’s golf championships after shooting a final-round 319.
The Red Raiders led after the first round at The Harvester.
Dominguez closed with a 79 and tied for 13th at 14 over par. Kaufman shot 83 and finished 18 over, in 20th place.
Tech’s other scores were, Beverly Mendoza, 82-72-82—236; Elin Arvidsson, 81-75-81—237; and Kimmy Hill, 92-76-77—245.
Oklahoma State won the tournament, shooting a final-day 299 and winning by two strokes over 36-hole leader Baylor, which shot 302. Iowa State was third, seven shots back of the lead, and Oklahoma clipped Tech by three shots for fourth.
Baylor’s Lauren Taylor won the individual title by eight shots, closing with a 71 and finishing at 3-under.
