Cory Jefferson and Isaiah Austin no longer inhabit the paint for Baylor, leaving junior Rico Gathers and freshman Jonathan Motley in their place.

For the first time in Big 12 history, the entire Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship will be televised nationally on ESPN networks.
Previously, selected contests during the championship were shown in certain areas on the Big 12 Network.
This year's championship will have every game broadcast on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU for the first time.
Also, the final will move back to its 5 p.m. local tipoff after a later start a year ago.
On the season, more than 100 Big 12 games will be televised on the ESPN networks.

Now, he’s in Greece preparing to play for OEM Rethymno Aegean of the Greek Esake League and getting ready to watch the Serbians take on the United States in the championship game of the FIBA World Cup.

When the Red Raiders’ coach announced his finalized schedule Thursday, Tech was set for 12 home games during the non-conference slate and will be in the United Supermarkets Arena for 21 of its 31 games.
“We have another competitive schedule. We are not going to be on the road as much this season as last, which will help us with our young team,” Smith said in a news release from Texas Tech . “We have the opportunity to learn about each other and grow as a team.”
