Former college football coach Randy Rodgers will host a recruiting workshop at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Texas Tech football building for current high school juniors and sophomores and their parents. The program is designed to educate underclassmen about the recruiting process.

There is no charge. Each player is asked to bring a 25- to 30-play highlight tape, plus a tape of his best single game or two. Prospects will have their pictures made, their height and weight measured and fill out paperwork. There is no physical workout.

The program will offer instruction to players hoping to be recruited.

Rodgers, a former staff member at the universities of Illinois and Texas, now is a recruiting consultant for Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine and Fox Sports Southwest.
