Women's golf eliminated at Stanford regional
NORMAN, Okla. — The Texas Tech softball team got shutdown by Oklahoma ace Paige Parker on Friday at Marita Hynes Field.
Parker pitched five shut out innings and the Sooners scored five runs in the fifth inning to run-rule the Red Raiders 8-0.
Parker gave up three hits and struck out seven, picking up her 25th win of the season. Meanwhile, Tech starter Dominique Alcocer gave up eight runs on nine hits and four walks in 4 2/3 innings.
Texas Tech’s lone hits off Parker were by Jordan Bettiol, Kierra Miles and Susan Welborn.
