New Texas Tech volleyball coach Don Flora completed his staff on Friday, announcing the hiring of assistant coach Jojit Coronel.
Coronel has been the head coach at George Washington University for the past 11 seasons where he compiled a 176-153 record with six trips to the Atlantic-10 Championship and three 20-plus-win seasons.
Before George Washington, Coronel spent four seasons as an assistant at the University of the Pacific.
Coronel is a 1993 graduate of the University of California-Santa Cruz and was a member of the school’s volleyball team as a setter and defender. UC-Santa Cruz compiled a 74-42 record with Pacific Coast Volleyball Association titles in 1989 and 1991 during his playing career.
