Texas Tech sophomore forward Ebony Walker will transfer after the spring semester, the basketball team announced Monday.

Walker had seen limited playing time during her two seasons in Lubbock. She averaged six minutes, two points and two rebounds per game as a sophomore.

Her departure opens the door for another potential junior college pickup for coach Kristy Curry. Last week the Lady Raiders added Jackie Patterson, an All-American forward from Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College.

Texas Tech’s New Mexico recruits have contributed little in the past two years. Walker, who is from Albuquerque, is the second recruit from New Mexico to leave. Guard Antiesha Brown, of Clovis, N.M., transferred to UNM after last season, citing a lack of playing time.

Correction

I think Bill of Area Code 214 intended the possessive form pertaining to the Lead Conspirator.

And I don't think it's possible he's right, because the departure of this player would have a positive impact on the program. Accordingly, it couldn't be attributed to the Lead Conspirator.

Yes

Keen observation. I concur.

Tech's athletic program....

Tech's athletic program will continue to decline as long as the current cast of clowns are allowed to run Tech.

By now Hance has called in all of his "chits" and started a downward spiral.

As a Tech alumni I will not donate a dime to Tech until there is some major reorganization in the Administration.

But, the mindset of the current cast is that dimes don't matter.

We shall see.
