Celebration of big hits outlines what is wrong with attittudes on concussions
The squiggly lines were the hardest to remember.
Memorizing the words was easy and when it came to matching up the colors, I kept wondering if I hit the button hard enough – they never seemed to register on the computer I was sitting at.
But, I wasn’t worried.
Unlike the 1.6 to 3.8 million athletes who suffer from concussions in the U.S. every year. I took the ImPACT test at the Lubbock Sports Medicine clinic for a different purpose – to raise awareness.
Concussions are no longer an afterthought in our social consciousness.
