CFO's tenure included $300 million spent on athletic building projects
Texas Tech senior associate athletic director Bobby Gleason, who watched over an athletic department budget that grew from $9 million when he started to $77 million this year, will retire on June 30, according to an announcement Friday.
Gleason has been the athletic department’s chief financial officer for 22 years.
“Since I arrived at Texas Tech, Bobby Gleason’s acumen and direction with our finances has been invaluable,” athletic director Kirby Hocutt said in Tech’s announcement. “He’s been a valued member of our executive staff and will definitely be missed.”
