The Texas Tech men’s tennis team earned its fifth consecutive berth into the NCAA tournament Tuesday, when the field of 64 was announced.
The 22nd-ranked Red Raiders will go as the No. 2 seed to the Waco regional, where they will face 43rd-ranked and third-seeded Rice in the first round May 13 at Baylor Tennis Center.
“We are extremely excited to be in the NCAA tournament,” said Tech coach Tim Siegel, who has led the Red Raiders to 11 NCAA appearances. “You never take for granted getting in.”
