Pac-10 officials in Lubbock   01/13/11 - 10:36pm

An envoy from the Pacific 10 Conference met with Texas Tech officials on campus Sunday afternoon, yet another sign the university could be on brink of changing conferences. Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott and several other conference officials met with Tech Chancellor Kent Hance, President Guy Bailey and athletic director Gerald Myers for more than two hours at Jones AT&T Stadium to discuss whether Tech might be a good fit for the expanding conference.

Nebraska left, breaking ties with Big 12 schools that dated, in some cases, to the 1890s. The Cornhuskers will join the Big Ten in 2011.

Then even the previously jaded Jayhawks got in on the action, with stories surfacing that the Mountain West is going after them and arch-rival Mizzou.
