Texas Tech sports roundup: Nine-run inning not enough for Tech   04/10/13 - 12:47am

DALLAS — The Texas Tech baseball team’s struggling offense put together one of its best innings and top hitting games of the season Tuesday at Dallas Baptist. But it still wasn’t enough as the Patriots were just a touch better in taking a 10-9 victory over the Red Raiders at Horner Ballpark. The loss knocks Tech (17-18), which tied a season high with 14 hits, below .500 overall for the first time this season and for the first time since ending the 2010 season 28-29. The Red Raiders have now lost nine of their last 10 and nine of their last 11.
