For Graham Harrell, the long wait is over.
Texas Tech's record-setting quarterback landed a contract with an NFL team, 13 months after he was passed over, both in the draft and the free-agent market. Harrell signed with the Green Bay Packers after a workout Wednesday.
"It's what he's been wanting to do, get a shot at that next level,'' Harrell's father, Sam Harrell, said. "He thought he was good enough to get a shot, and now he has. He's real excited about it.''
