SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Connor Curry posted a split-sets victory against Kial Kaiser at No. 6 singles, closing out No. 8 Texas Tech’s 4-0 victory Friday against No. 36 Princeton in the semifinals of the Mission Valley Spring Classic.
Tech (18-2) will play No. 28 Tulane, a 4-3 victor against San Diego, for the tournament championship Saturday. Princeton (12-6) had a three-match winning streak snapped.
Tech won the doubles point with 6-1 victories from the teams of Alex Sendegeya-Bjorn Thomson and Jolan Cailleau and Curry.
